Gave Birth Without Pain with Anesthesia Techniques

Bookmark and Share
Giving birth is a happy experience as well as painful for a mother. These studies have been done to reduce the painful experiences during labor, so labor can provide a more pleasing experience.

Science anesthesia (anesthesia) has introduced a new way of technical anesthesia for gave birth without pain, so that mothers can give birth with minimum pain. One of the technical choices made by anesthesia specialists is to use an epidural technique. Epidural is the space between the two membranes of the medulla hard.

Epidural technique was performed similar to the technique of spinal anesthesia during surgery. The difference is the technique of spinal anesthesia, lower limb mother (foot) will deliberately 'disabled' or not can be moved in a certain period.

In epidural anesthesia techniques, only the nerves that respond to pain that is primarily disabled temporarily. This technique is done by giving the shot in the back to be placing a small catheter that is useful to inject the epidural anesthetic.

Epidural anesthesia drug will work for several hours, before the effect is low, the anesthesiologist will give instructions to give further injections of drugs via the epidural catheter that has been installed. My mother still can perform the usual activities because of nerves on the block just to give excitatory nerve pain.

For labor, the blockade is devoted to reducing pain in the uterus, cervix and upper vagina. But pangul muscle can still do the rotational motion of the baby's head to get out of the birth mother. My mother still can push, so delivery may be possible through the birth canal.

More comfortable again, if it turns out delivery should be done with surgery sectio cesarea (SC), the anesthetist can make changes to adjust the composition of the drug for anesthesia for surgery.

In addition, with this anesthetic technique, the mother was still conscious during the operation, so as to directly meet with the baby in the operating room. Coupled with other advantages which the patient directly to the direct mobilization, unlike spinal anesthesia techniques that must wait at least 24 hours or until declared safe for mobilization.

Another advantage of this technique is epidural anesthesia with this technique for anesthesia in a longer time, unlike the technique of spinal anesthesia is limited to 1-2 hours, so that mothers can perform normal activities immediately after surgery.

When compared with general anesthesia techniques, this technique has the possibility of post operative complications are less. In addition, with a catheter that has been installed can also be used for anti-pain medication directly to the desired nerve, so that post-surgery pain can also be minimized.

Is the patient's right to know the medical procedure that will be done to him. And is the patient's right to approve and select the existing procedures.
